Last year leading into the WrestleMania PPV, The Rock worked out with WWE performer Curt Hawkins to get prepared for his match. This year, The Rock posted the following about his latest WWE training partner, Michael McGuilicutty…

"One of my favorite ring training partners: @WWE 3rd generation beast Joe Hennig. #TalentedToughAndHumble,"

Surely Hennig will be back on screen soon, if he's trusted working with the rock, either by wwe or the rock himself must be an indicator he could at least work matches on tv

But there's trusted as an in-ring hand, and then having an onscreen presence...

McGillicutty has no charisma at all. If his last name was anything other than Hennig, he wouldn't be in WWE.

Doesn't mean he's a main guy, but could easily be an opponent used every so often against the US champ etc to make them look good

I agree with Hodge. Seems a good worker from what i've seen from him. He should change his ring name to Hennig and take it from there.

But they already have guys like Santino, Tyson Kidd, Brodus Clay, Zack Ryder, Heath Slater, Primo & Epico, Drew Mc...

Guys who are much more over and known than he is, and I'd rate most of those as better than McGillicutty. And I've never known why they openly admit Mr Perfect is his father, then give him a completely different name.

Vince felt he had to earn the right to use the name Hennig, supposedly why Richie Steamboat may also be given a new name when called up

Is it me or does Joe Hennig look a bit like Arn Anderson?

With that beard he has now he does look a bit like him. Maybe they could give him a similar 'enforcer' gimmick to what Anderson. Don't have him say much just let him beat people up.
