tic tic tic tic... it's MVP.

I don't really know if last nights show was good or not. Too many distracting mic problems made it feel messy. MVP was a surprise to me though, I was just imagining someone older I guess. Does anyone have an opinion on last nights UK kick off?

As a non-TNA viewer, my immediate reaction is...

Yet another TNA storyline involving an investor / hostile takeover. When are they going to come up with something new?
Yet another ex-WWE guy being pushed at the expense of someone new that TNA can mould and call their own.

Aren't TNA in some sort of financial trouble?

To be fair Grec, Magnus is the main guy in TNA now, Joe won a number one contenders match and looks to be sticking round the main event scene and they are building some new characters from scratch around the main event scene, with EC3, Spud and the Wolves. MVP is just adding to that and they can build him any way they want as he has been off tv for so long.

What held people back in truth was probably the over use of originals with no new character development with Sting, Hardy and Hogan taking up the big name spots on top of that. Roode is probably the only original who developed enough to stick at main event level.

To offer some more counter points, this is the first time Dixie has been involved on tv so much, so the takeover/power struggle will be different. And you're kidding if you think every main story over the years in any company hasn't had a power struggle/ownership angle to it.

But TNA do it more than anyone else. Off the top of my head at half seven in the morning, TNA have had Dixie, Sting, Jim Cornette, Hogan, Bischoff, Mick Foley, and Lord knows how many different groups all competing to be in charge. WWE is bad enough at the moment with the Authority, GMs of both shows, Kane and Vince all in charge. TNA just seem to trot out the same 'TNA is in the shit, let's bring in a new owner' schtick every few months.

Honestly, I doubt it. They have a 3 year TV deal, and Panda Energy pays the big contracts. Panda Energy will get bigger and bigger, the Carters will die and Dixie will be fucking loaded beyond belief. If she gets bored then who knows what TNA net worth is. But she paid 250k for it, so i'm sure she's in the black.

TNA were in massive financial trouble in the summer with the high costs of Impact touring. They've trimmed a lot off the salary cost recently so I suspect with that and back in the Impact Zone they should be alright.

I think an EC3 turn is on the cards (with Magnus not mentioning him in thanks).
Joe is just fat and lazy, shame as he could be one of the best.

They've lost the Impact Zone.

Fuck the Impact Zone. When Daddy Carter croaks Dixie can buy MSG.
